§ 6. Qualifications.

No person shall be eligible to the office of Mayor or Councilmember unless he or she be a citizen of the United States and of the State of Oklahoma, at least 21 years of age, a qualified voter in The City of Oklahoma City, a resident of the ward for which representation is sought for at least six months, and shall have been for three years immediately preceding such election a resident of The City of Oklahoma City or an area which has been annexed to and has become a part of the City.
